Current Working Methods

Linocut

These two images, influenced by the plant motifs of Angie Lewin have been printed onto ombre papers which introduces the element of colour. This process allows the introduction of colour without destroying the plate.

In this image I have used a process known as rainbow inking.

The final image requires careful registration and the use of a press. I was shown this way of working by Linda Farquharson

Reduction lino

This is a satisfying and liberating way to introduce colour into a piece. The plate is destroyed in the process of cutting. Lisa Hooper uses this method of working and created beautiful clean and clear colour.
